BIO

Nicolas was born in Rouen in 1970.

At the age of 17, Nicolas worked as a trainee on big french TV shows such as Ciel Mon Mardi and Sacré Soirée before integrating Nulle Part Ailleurs on the JTN des Nuls. (CANAL PLUS)

Thanks to the influence and advice of Luc BESSON, whom he met during the editing of Nikita, he became assistant editor at LA PAC, an advertising production company.

He worked with Jean Paul GOUDE, Patrice LECONTE, Bertrand BLIER, Michel BLANC, Roman POLANSKI, Ridley SCOTT and many others …

This is where he is passionate about his first job: editing.

He will do this job almost 15 years around the world as free lance.

With the advent of digital special effects, for which he is passionate, he supervises films as director of special effects and editor. He later became a second unit director for a large number of prestigious directors with whom he collaborates.

In 2000, Publicis will entrust him with his first advertising film as director for Playstation. From that time he will travel the world for different brands as Orange, Kinder, Danone, Orangina …

He will return to the editing for the feature CORPS à CORPS by François HANSS with Emmanuelle Seigner and Philippe Torreton.

Between 2013 and 2015 he will join the Disney teams to work regularly on Disneyland Paris park projects. In 2015, he realized a childhood dream: he joined Pixar Studios (letter recommendation attached).

Luc Besson then asked him to collaborate on Lucy as a consultant on post-production: the loop is complete.

At the end of Lucy, and advised by the benevolent Dominique Farrugia, he develops with Blanche Pinon his first short film: AND WHY NOT?

They produce and and direct it. This film, pre-selected in Cannes and which, thanks to the support of Unifrance, will go around the world.

In 2017, Nicolas is back to Indian Ocean where he shot a lot. He develops a project on the Reunion Island (LA BUSE) and continues with his first feature film in Mauritius: PANIK. This first film is a critical and public success.

Nicolas is now totally oriented towards fiction.
